New ED Strategy
The Kapuskasing Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) has developed a new Economic Strategy aimed at growing, strengthening and diversifying Kapuskasing’s local economy. This new Strategy is focusing on four main themes:
1. Labour Force Development and Youth Retention & Attraction;
2. Traditional Industries such as Wood Processing, Mining, Renewable Energy, Tourism and Agriculture;
3. Emerging Industries such as Entrepreneurship, Translation Services, Health Care and Care of the Elderly and Collaborative Economic Development Opportunities with the First Nations Community; and
4. Improving Kapuskasing’s overall Quality of Life by developing Community Infrastructure
