Kapuskasing has a multitude of events and activities throughout the year.  The Kapuskasing Lumberjack Heritage Festival des bûcherons, Festival of Lights and the Festival de la St. Jean are the signature events that bring the community alive. 

Tourism is an important industry in Kapuskasing.  The community strives to infuse culture and adventure into everyday life.  This four season destination permits locals and visitors alike to experience a variety of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the year such as:  canoeing, skiing, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hockey, skating, tennis, hiking, etc...  Kapuskasing is able to provide all of the leisure services and activities expected of a metropolitain centre while retaining the abiltiy to offer convenience and low costs.
