Tourism is an important industry in Kapuskasing. Community members strive to infuse culture and adventure into everyday life. Kapuskasing hosts several festivals and events yearly including the Festival of Lights, the Kapuskasing Lumberjack Heritage Festival and Winter Carnaval. The town's location also permits locals and visitors alike to experience a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as canoeing, skiing, fishing, curling, snowmobiling, hunting and skating.

The Welcome Centre is the ideal location to start your visit.  The Centre houses the Ron Morel Memorial Museum, Maurice Gaudreault Clay Sculpture Gallery, Tourist Information Centre, special events and festival headquarters, the Kapuskasing and District Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Northland Bus and Parcel service.
