The Anglophone and Francophone residents of Kapuskasing continuously work together in partnership to maintain its cultural diversity. As approximately 73% of the population is bilingual (French and English), the town of Kapuskasing benefits immensely from services available in both official languages.  

Kapuskasing presently broadcasts two radio stations: Moose FM and CKGN FM. Moose FM is an Anglophone commercial radio station and CKGN FM is a Francophone community radio station. Two bilingual newspapers are also published in Kapuskasing, The Northern Times/L'Horizon and The/Le Weekender. The availability of these medias in both English and French has been favourable for the community.
