There shall be the following Standing Committees of Council:

Finance Committee
Health Committee
Planning Committee
Protective Services Committee
Public Works Committee
Recreation and Culture Committee

Each Committee shall consist of at least two Council members and the Mayor ex-officio.

The Mayor shall present recommendations on the composition of Committees with the Committee members appointed at the first regular Council meeting in December every year by resolution of Council, with the resolution denoting the Chairperson. One of the other Councillors on the Committee shall act as Committee Chairperson in the absence of the Chairperson.
