Asset and Capital Projects Manager

Permanent, Full Time - Salaried position
Annual Salary: $96,665 - $105,628

Reporting to the General Manager of Public Works, the Asset and Capital Projects Manager is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Town’s Asset Management Plan and ensure that all related regulatory requirements are met. This position ensures compliance with all asset management and infrastructure-related regulatory requirements and supports the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities in all municipal facilities including maintenance projects, minor and major capital works.

Qualifications:

• Degree or post-secondary diploma in an engineering field or related experience in Asset Management.
• Valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel within and outside the community as required.
• A working knowledge of financial accounting is an asset.
• A background in surveying or thorough understanding of surveying practices is an asset.
• Experience with procurement including purchasing, Request for Proposal (RFP), and preparation of Tender documents is an asset
• Excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, analytical, problem-solving, report writing, inspection, and public relations skills, together with the ability to use tact and discretion and to deal courteously and effectively with the public and fellow staff members.
• Ability to multi-task, cope with interruptions and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines, exercise discretion and good judgment particularly when handling highly confidential/sensitive information.
• Demonstrated proficiency with common office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and Autocad.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
