Composting

The Town of Kapuskasing Compost Site provides residents with a designated location to dispose of yard and garden waste in an environmentally responsible manner. By using the compost site, residents help reduce landfill waste and support sustainable waste management practices in our community.

Location & Access

The Compost Site is accessible only through the Sports Palace parking lot, near the former lagoon area.

Hours of Operation

The Compost Site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

✅ Accepted Materials

Only the following materials are permitted at the compost site:

• Branches
• Tree stumps
• Leaves
• Grass clippings
• Other yard and garden waste

❌ Not Permitted

• Garbage or household waste
• Plastic bags or containers
• Construction or demolition materials

All materials must be emptied directly into the designated bins. Please do not leave materials at the gate or outside the bins.
