
Recycling
As of January 1, 2026, Kapuskasing’s recycling program is managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving recycling services across Ontario.
Residents are encouraged to recycle properly by placing clean, dry, and loose materials in their recycling containers and ensuring items are set out by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.
Recycling helps reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and protect the environment. Use the information below to learn what materials are accepted, how to prepare your recyclables, and what items do not belong in the recycling stream.

Did you know?
- Electronics can be recycled at the Landfill Site and at the Kapuskasing Public Works Department (24 Brunetville Road).
- Ziploc bags are recyclable but they must be clean.
- Hazardous waste such as paint, gas, used oil, etc. can be brought to Environmental 360 Solutions for proper disposal. Call 705-335-3031 or visit www.e360s.ca for more information.
- Unused sharps (needles & syringes) can be returned at your local pharmacy for free. For a list of collection locations, visit www.healthsteward.ca

- Used batteries can be returned at the Kapuskasing Public Works Department (24 Brunetville Road) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
